USAID uses the Development Credit Authority (DCA) to enter into credit guarantee agreements with private financial institutions. This enables USAID to encourage financial institutions to lend their own capital to creditworthy but underserved sectors. DCA guarantees are used to support a wide range of development sectors such as micro and small enterprise development, microfinance, agriculture, health, education, energy, infrastructure, and governance.
These credit programs are managed by USAID in part through the Credit Management System (CMS). If you need help with the CMS system, please email CMS Support at firstname.lastname@example.org.
